That's easily the most insidious part of it. I've had my fair share of mentally abusive relationships and I keep finding threads leading back to them all the time in various pieces of myself. It's genuinely just crazy how easily bad things can be normalized in environments like that without noticing

The aftermath of abusive relationships is always the most nightmarish shit to navigate. It's easy to be hard on yourself for not recognizing all the rot but it's something always easier to view from the outside than it is in the moment. It'll heal. Slowly but surely it'll get better.

9's easily my favorite of the series but it's definitely not a perfect game. I'd say it's by far the most earnest of that era and has a lot of fun exploring its world and characters.

Also it has Vivi who is just the best.
