Librarian and author Audre Lorde knew and asserted her rights. Just say no--to the FBI!
Not everyone has a lawyer, but even those who don't can be like Audre Lorde on this one (this from her FBI file)

Tonight my spouse and I made the questionable decision to celebrate our 20th anniversary by seeing a documentary called "Coexistence My Ass," and it was excellent, if gutting. Please arrange a screening in your area. www.coexistencemyass.com/screenings 🇵🇸

Today in #ZineCataloging, I'm cataloging zines from Maamoul Press and glad to be able to copy records made by catalogers at Harvard, Princeton, and University of Michigan. I love to see these important zines and zine makers being supported and made accessible in libraries. maamoulpress.com/Books

Useful information - we need to support our libraries. Give them the $$ you might have sent to sources which have failed… like @washingtonpost.com

“A library putting out useful information in a place where people can see it is a more powerful stance than it may feel like. It shows that people in positions of power CARE.”

I’m listening to Science Friday on NPR and sorry to hear scientists have to justify their work and existence constantly in Trump America. Scientists: ask an academic librarian for help. We’re used to no one seeing our worth.

Statement from #ZLuC2025 Organizers: “We are sad to report that the Zine Librarians unConference was attended by a non-zine librarian in bad faith. She recorded the event without permission and posted her recordings. Please read the organizers’ statement about the violation.”

Coastal Lines Press was a morning presenter on Day 2. The community of zine librarians was very welcoming and responsive. Thank you ZLUC organizers for providing this community-building opportunity.

So apparently a conservative "journalist" attended the ZLuC over this past weekend, attended and live-streamed sessions without consent, and is trying to intimidate and dox attendees.

Here's the organizers' statement:

The zine libraries unconference wiki has been updated with a statement from the organizers about someone who attended the event in order to spy on and record it without permission. www.zinelibraries.info/wiki/zluc2025/ This infiltrator is driving an effort to get a zine librarian fired. 📚

I'm cataloging a zine made for a seminar on borders and migration. The author brings up Japanese internment, which was a staggering injustice that was inadequately addressed & recompensed, and I think about everything that's coming, and I want to fight back, but I also kind of want to self harm
