Actually, that's more plausible than you'd want to admit.
While this is merely a rumor: I do remember there was a conspiracy theory that most all the gold was looted from Ft. Knox in 1968 and that's why we shortly after got off the Gold Standard.

Wasn't the premise that a bunch of people died in proximity (i.e. in the same town) to him? As I see it, the evience is quite tenous: Under this logic, wouldn't it be possible to label almost anybody as a potential serial killer?

It's obvious this is a means to go after veterans for espousing views he doesn't like even though they're no longer in uniform.

Plus he stole 2024... that honeslty is more troubling since it indicates that he illegitimately got himself into office to shield himself from legal accountability (after all he'd have went to prison had he not gottne in)
