What we truly need is a government that’s run by intelligent people.

What’s happening at the Supreme Court this week is bigger than just one FTC commissioner. The majority seems ready to endorse the “unitary executive” theory, giving Trump the power to purge agency staffers and replace them with loyalists. It’s a frightening prospect we should be paying attention to.

Can we agree to STOP CONSUMING POLITICO?

Trump has been named most influential politician in Europe by Politico

Putin 5th. LePen 4th. Farage 6th. Orban 12th. Zelenskyy 14th.

Can we pair it with FT that proclaimed head of Russia Today as one of the most influential people and throw it in trash?

Each trip cost taxpayers thousands of dollars.

The authoritarian takover of the state bureaucracy might not *sound* like a big deal. But SCOTUS giving Trump the ability to fire the federal government is a God-King power, and represents a failure of the American Revolution.

Rand Paul being sane & right in this instance is messing with me.
Rand Paul: "This is an insane policy. It's inconsistent. It's not war. It's not the way we've ever done this. If we can blow up a boat in the ocean, what about when they get to Miami & put it in a truck? Can you shoot a grenade launcher at the truck? No! We arrest people b/c sometimes we're wrong."

Your fellow reporter just got blasted on national TV by the president of the United States as "obnoxious" and "terrible" -- and you follow it up with a crappy question about the midterms, which are 11 months away.

You might want to think about another line of work. You aren't cut out for this.

Trump’s henchmen are openly bragging to Republican donors how the MAGA #SCOTUS will help them win elections by ruling the Republican’s way on campaign finance contribution and redistricting cases.

Trumpers are counting on right wing judicial coup from Roberts.

This man died from being at the wrong place at the wrong time because of #IceLawlessness, cruelty & racism.

Just in: Missouri organizers have turned in ≈300,000 signatures to block the GOP's new gerrymander there.

That's an impressive haul in the very compressed window they had. They need roughly 110,000 signatures to succeed, though the GOP will now throw everything it has to disqualify them.
