We don't need Greenland. We need healthcare. We need living wages. We need democracy. We need equality and a real justice system. We need freedom from Russian influence. We need a president who isn't a felon rapist determined to watch his opponents burn.

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

Positively shocked that the house magazine of the Manhattan Institute is upset that my book refuses to attribute America's record-high homelessness to "personal choices"—rather than, say, rents outpacing income gains by 325 percent since 1985.

AOC: I’m very encouraged by statements from Senator Tillis and Senator Murkowski, but it is frankly very disturbing that we are not seeing more resistance across the board.

Met Betty Lou on my way home, and she offered me several stuffies, including a rainbow unicorn. Betty Lou is healing a rear leg fracture in a full cast & could use a quiet home to recover in, if you're in the greater Austin area. www.austinpetsalive.org/adopt/dogs/a...

AOC: I want everybody to understand that the cuts to your health care are what’s paying for this. You get screwed over to pay a bunch of thugs in the street that are shooting mothers in the face.

I know this present situation in our country causes you more upset than anyone else. I know you are stepping back from public life but maybe someday you can be a part of the solutions to our very serious problems.

I love this governor.
Minnesota just launched our statewide paid leave program.

Starting today new parents, small business owners, and people recovering from illness or injury will have the security to take needed time off work without risking their paycheck.

I was sent this website. While it is totally partisan toward Democrats I found it very informative - really seems to drill down in the local election results. If you are already registered the Blue Voter guide link seems informative. I would love to know what you think.

For those of us who lived and worked through these years, we watched the working person life's work diminished by corrupt financial manipulators and equally corrupt politicians.
Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.
