I am delighted to announce that I was added to the CNBC Advisor Council, a group of industry leaders who share insights with the network and participate in programming.

The Council includes people I have followed for years so I was a bit taken aback but deeply honored.

Every sign in DC marks the loss of someone’s neighbor, someone’s loved one, someone’s friend.

Every sign marks yet another step toward authoritarianism. wapo.st/4nJqjZQ
Signs popping up around D.C. note: ‘ICE kidnapping happened here’
The signs range in style and mark numerous locations where people have been taken by federal agents.

I am curious to hear what the alleged political motivations of the FBI raid were. In his version, why did they target him? Simpler explanation: he engaged in broad ethical misconduct, it was wise for the public integrity unit to investigate, and they may have charged him had he stayed in office.

Would Jack have voted against the Stadium deal? Seems unlikely based on his record but now I am curious!

PSA: If it isn't time-sensitive, don't email a tax preparer the second week of April or October. They are likely deeply focused on finishing their clients' tax returns, probably won't reply, and you'll both be annoyed.

When he was running for Mayor in 2014, he was meeting with an endorsement committee I was on so I asked him how his views had changed as a result of economists finding that trickle-down economics doesn't actually work. His answer: "My view hasn't changed at all".

That's a great question. I am not sure if they directly enforce or merely enforce the laws from which the code is derived (a bit like regs).

A former Ward 2 ANC just filed a complaint about CM Pinto's (mis)use of Office resources. She sent a citywide mailer days before she announced a run for districtwide office.

I am pretty frustrated about the Grimes result. Do you buy the argument that it is to save Josh Harris money? How do we get rid him? I am still mad about Hinkie, Isaiah Joe, and now giving up on a good (maybe very good) player and leaving him without a tradeable contract.

Thanks, AG Schwalb! And all the CMs who worked on the bill.

For too long, out-of-state drivers have been able to rack up thousands of dollars in traffic violations without facing consequences for putting our residents in danger.

Thanks to the STEER Act and under @dcattorneygeneral.bsky.social's leadership, we are now holding these drivers accountable.

NEW: We won our first court judgment against a dangerous out-of-state driver under the STEER Act.

The Court ordered Ayanna Khalya Wilson to pay $77,100 for over 200 dangerous driving violations.

We also filed 12 new lawsuits against Maryland and Virginia drivers with nearly 2,000 traffic offenses.

Make sure to send a letter explaining why! The letter is more important than the cancellation.

If the value continues to rise dramatically, at what point would you trade it to lock in a high value and reduce the risk that the investigation results in penalties less than expected and the value a lot?

Yeah, there was a still showing the ball having already broken the plane before any part of Hurts was down.

Sounds like the kind of thing Big Dom could get the stadium officials to handle.

I think he made the first down because he originally was on the defender without a body part touching the turf. Looked to me like they spotted it about a yard, maybe half a yard short and it should have been a first down.

Sounds like another way that Howie has figured out to pay more (of Lurie's) money for better outcomes. Like the contract structuring with void years.

Jimmy, were you surprised at how much draft capital it required to acquire Bigsby? I would have thought just a fifth or 6th might have been enough but obviously not.

Mayor Bowser, "shared priorities" with this administration means having masked agents disappear our neighbors in the middle of the night.

It means soldiers with assault rifles in our neighborhoods.

It means arresting children.

These are the priorities of a dictator. DC does not share them.
Bowser welcomes federal law enforcement presence indefinitely
Bowser issued an executive order Tuesday requiring local coordination with federal law enforcement “to the maximum extent allowable by law.” The order gives no expiration date.

The big takeaway is this:

If you don't feel you have enough now and you have a positive net worth, you probably need to address the feeling by adding practices to change your perspective.

If you try to fix it by simply adding money, you are likely to end up wealthier but no more content.

It is not just about mindfulness, spirituality, or gratitude. One has to achieve stability too. With careful management, good luck, and a functional society, more money can lead to food and housing security. That's important to feeling one has enough but it isn't anywhere near sufficient
zteutsch.bsky.social
The way to feel one has enough is like the water and the break.

The way to feel one has enough is about:
1️⃣cultivating gratitude,
2️⃣building financial stability,
3️⃣mindfulness,
4️⃣Being around people who cultivate gratitude, focus on relationships, are of service, and build community
zteutsch.bsky.social
Money can create a financial/emotional hunger.

But it can't satisfy that hunger.
