What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

Yeah, people, come on. Blame the people ordering them to walk around in DC, not the Guard troopers themselves.
The replies to this make me lose faith in humanity.

They’re making the best out of a situation that they don’t really want to be a part of…

But no…the candy is clearly “poisoned” like one of the other idiots commenting said…

Trump's plan to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder is a disgrace. This action could weaken extreme-weather forecasting & preparedness, undercut U.S. leadership in atmospheric science, & put hundreds of CO jobs & a major engine of research collaboration at risk.

In fact, Merrick Garland said he was going to appeal the short sentences of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers but never did. And no one has asked him why.
The VF profile notes Wiles was incorrect about violent Jan. 6 defendants receiving greater-than-recommended sentences, but it doesn’t capture how wildly off base she was. I don’t think there was a single above-guidelines sentence given in a J6 felony case. www.vanityfair.com/news/story/t...

at that point we're just in a state of exception
