This is fucking awful.
No matter HOW much time you spent on something - no matter how much of your skill and practice went into being able to do it - a complete stranger can IMMEDIATELY copy it into any number of things, take credit for it, and profit from it.

For further context twitter added a button that allows users to generate ai images using existing art posts from artists. It removes glaze and it basically reskins the artwork by using the existing work as a base. Twitter is no longer a safe space for art

Every example of AI being used I've seen is cutting away a job that someone coming up would take or get on their journey.

The thing thats so insidious about using AI this way is that one of the main ways artists get hired are studios looking for art references and they find us and reach out.
This is removing a major avenue to get work if they can just generate nameless derivations of our ideas.

I'm equally shocked and infuriated at the mass shooting at Bondi Beach today.
I'm angry at the shooters. I'm angry at the government for not doing enough to stop antisemitic attacks. I'm angry that right-wing bigots & Islamaphobes are using this attack to push their hatred of Muslims and Palestine.
