I know nothing.
Pet parents. Don’t bring your enthusiastic dog into a cat’s territory without warning and off leash - especially if you know that your dog doesn’t typically get along with cats. If it had been my house and my cats, you would have been sent home.

It’s too early to use words. Just posted two sentences and both started with a form of ‘interesting.’

Interesting viewpoint on why Stray Kids are popular globally. (Interestingly, they are not particularly popular in Korea.)

My Opal seems to have a sixth sense for making herself comfortable on me exactly when I might want to get up. I tried to take her photo but she was too close.

Jaefriends unwittingly starts to solve the male loneliness epidemic. I realize the show is scripted/edited but seriously. When you happen to meet a potential friend, introduce them to one friend each. Talk together about things that are important in your life. Who knows?

There are so many valuable things that could be said these days, but it seems that language has become devalued. It’s no wonder that brainrot content became popular.

The most dangerous thing seems to be to draw lines between we and them.

Suddenly, the story of Angulimala seems almost impossible.

This is weirdly comforting.
I mean yeah it’s an authoritarian takeover but can we take some comfort in the fact that the people doing it are INSANELY stupid?

I don’t know why, despite overwhelming evidence, I am duped into thinking that December is a time to rest, enjoy & celebrate. The last time when that was even vaguely true for me was definitely before I was 13.

Random thought of the morning. As I am exposed to more wisdom teachings from various ages and cultures, I have the feeling that language (at least English) cannot sufficiently express what has been known.

Never tell me again that technology makes things easier without specifying for whom, for what purpose and at what cost.

I can’t figure out how to teach my dad how to effectively operate the electronics in his house. They are all old enough that order of operations can be very important. But, any time something unexpected happens, he tries pushing every button in no particular order.

Often when thoughts come up, usually prompted by things beyond my direct experience, those thoughts are immediately followed by a ‘maybe.’ This mental pattern has been both useful and frustrating. I’m fairly certain this is a learned pattern. It would be interesting to know if this was common.

We created a new tool that uses prescription label information to identify where your drug was made.

It also lets you see if and when that factory was inspected for quality and safety violations.

Try it out 👇
Where Was My Generic Prescription Drug Made? - Rx Inspector - ProPublica
The FDA won’t tell Americans where their generic drugs are made, so ProPublica did it instead. Use information on your prescription label to locate the factory and see inspection reports.

As it’s the Winter Solstice, here’s some seasonal music. It’s not my favorite arrangement but it does actually give lyrics in the description (because I couldn’t remember them anymore)

Some of today might have to be a rest & recovery day. The thing is, the sense of recovery never lasts as long as what I want it too. What is the saying? Something like: stupidity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

My dad’s occasional housekeepers have apparently disappeared. I hope they are just extra busy with the holidays. There is no way I can clean his house regularly as well as mine.

This morning I laid comfortably in bed before getting up, trying to simply listen to the north wind for a few minutes. My ears were listening without really hearing. Instead, every bit of accumulated cultural conditioning seemed to be buffeting my mind. It was a very weird sensation.
