It’s a girl for Naserian! As has become tradition among our ex-orphans, the proud mum returned ‘home’ this weekend to introduce her brand new daughter to the people who raised her. The special name we have chosen for Naserian's little girl: Nyika, which means bush/wilderness in Swahili.

Problems in aircraft design don’t mean that magic carpets can actually fly.

The Los Angeles entertainment economy is cratering. Jobs in motion pictures in LA County have fallen from 142,000 to 100,000 in two years and sound stage occupancy has plummeted from about 90% to just over 60%. @benfritz.bsky.social www.wsj.com/business/med...

A spoiled brat at 79: has never done his own laundry, made a bed, cleaned the shower, shopped for groceries, prepared a meal, cleaned the kitchen, had car trouble, bought a ticket & taken the bus, studied for class, served in the military, felt consequences, felt empathy. Makes a dangerous dictator.

The Sec of War imagines himself as board master of an electronic game with branches of service and hardware of US military as gaming gear & service members his game peripherals. He lusts after war to invite friends to come & watch him blow things up on his really big screens. Hinge of fate days.
