I love it when people use their powers to make things better.
Though unintentional, Oregon's Capitol now has the largest set of gender-neutral bathrooms of any state legislature. It was a practical move during building upgrades to ensure enough bathrooms for anyone visiting @shaanthx.bsky.social reports:

The implication of harm as a result of saying no is a danger not only to ourselves but also our democracy. Authoritarians rely on the implication. This is one of the reasons unconditional basic income is so important. If we all already had it, it would be so much easier to not comply in advance.
