i need people to stop comparing trump to china or north korea before i go insane. y’all know that he’s horrible in a white way, not an asian way, right? like you’re playing on the lazy punchline “asian bad” when we have centuries of white supremacy laws within our borders!

Bluesky’s “Following” is a dream, but Discover is a nightmare. Because of my useless liberal tendencies, Discover is just pages and pages of fellow woke libs complaining about some awful thing that Republicans are doing somewhere.

This woman’s reporting from Seoul has been awesome and it reminds me of what The Old Place used to provide: cool shit from real people about What’s Happening.

Irvine Politics Update

Dave Min (CA47) has opened up a 3,000 vote lead over Scott Baugh, so we get an establishment Dem in Irvine.

Agran is still ahead on the mayor's race. In District 1, Melinda Liu now leads John Park by THREE VOTES. ~40% ballots left in OC to count.

Irvine politics:

Orange County is processing about 40k per day of the remaining 400k vote-by-mail/dropbox/etc ballots. They've processed two batches so far.

Baugh still leads the 47th, but Min is gaining and within ~700 votes. About 10,000 of the votes processed yesterday were from the 47th.

Dave Min pulled back about 1,600 votes in the 47th after they counted the first batch of absentee ballots (about 45,000 out of the 300,000 uncounted ballots). The website doesn't list exactly how many uncounted absentee ballots are from the 47th. I think he might have the edge.
