That missing attachment is the subject of a FOIA suit filed by Law and Chaos, and we can now exclusively confirm that no such copy was provided to Chief Judge Srinivasan either, according to a source familiar with the matter. And so far Judge Srinivasan has had no better luck kicking loose this attachment than we have. In short, the judiciary was provided zero evidence of Judge Boasberg's supposed "improper public comments about President Donald J. Trump to the Chief Justice of the United States and other
federal judges that have undermined the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary."

@rcfp.org is pushing back against a new Trump administration policy that threatens to revoke press passes from journalists covering the Pentagon if they attempt to report info that officials haven’t pre-approved for release.

Read more: https://www.rcfp.org/pentagon-press-restrictions-statement/
Reporters Committee Vice President of Policy Gabe Rottman said: “In its current form, this dangerous new policy could be wielded to silence independent reporting in the public interest about the Pentagon and our national defense. At the most basic level, the First Amendment means that the government doesn’t get to decide what information a journalist can or can’t publish.”

NEW: I interviewed 24 journalists about their interactions in 2025 w/ ICE & Border Protection.

What they together described: unanswered #FOIA requests, a functionally useless media office and a nearly impenetrable black box of info.

The Trump administration appears to be abusing FOIA to hide records about Tufts University student Rümeysa Öztürk’s arrest — citing unspecified “privacy” concerns.

Watch @laurenleharper.bsky.social explain why that excuse is flimsy, and why we are taking them to court.

FOIA alert 🚨🚨🚨

USAID (like DOE some months ago), is due to publish a notice that claims to mass cancel all #FOIAs submitted before Jan 20, unless the requester emails them.

This is, once again, wildly illegal.

NEW: We sued the Department of Energy over its unlawful effort to shut down FOIA requests.

The agency’s new policy demands proactive, duplicative confirmation of pending FOIA requests, a move that could result in countless unlawfully closed FOIAs.

UPDATE: I just got one of the emails from DOE. I've screenshotted it below. It doesn't even reference a specific #FOIA request, just links to the Federal Register notice.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah I've gotten them in the past too. But I'm not aware of such a widespread effort (or for requests that were submitted so recently).

Yeah, they say that but there's no statutory authority for it.
a-marshall-plan.bsky.social
And whether it's one request or every request, I don't think the law allows an agency to close a request given a non-response to a still interested letter.
a-marshall-plan.bsky.social
The still interested letter is common. But I've never seen it done for all pending requests at an agency.
