Fandom needs interaction to thrive, if u want to keep enjoying art, fic, edits, animations, silly little hcs, and all of that gud stuff, give some of the love back that creators pour out for you, fandom shouldn't be /content/ to mindlessly consume, let it be a dialogue of love and appreciation 🙏✨❤️
I think a big fandom shift in interacting with stuff has gone from people commenting under the created thing whether it be fic or art to people linking it in private discord groups where the person who made it will never see any positive comments left on the thing they made.

Idk I'm old but when I was coming up in fandom if I came across something I thought was odd or gross I was like "oh ok weird, not for me" but then all the cool older people in fandom would be into it so I'd be like "ok I'll give it a try" and then I'd discover like five new kinks, rinse and repeat
