Sept reading wrap up.
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August is a top contender for best book I've read this year.
Joe Abercrombie continues to keep me entertained with Before They are Hanged.
Buffalo Hunter Hunter is a very solid take on vampires in the old west.

All bangers for August.
The Blade Itself was just what I was looking for.
Carl was fun and better than it should be as always.
Green Teeth was a solid little story about a lake monster, a witch, and a goblin.

Reading has slowed down a bit, but I did beat Expedition 33 and Horizon Zero Dawn. Been a while since I've played the video games this much.

April reading recap.

Read through all of the Inheritance Trilogy. It was decent. The third book wasn't as good as the first two.

Finished the month with Murderbot. Quick and pretty fun. Had to read it before the tv show comes out.

March reading wrap up.

Margo's Got Money Troubles surprised me.

Artificial Wisdom was interesting, but felt rushed at the end.

The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

February reading.

Death of the Author by @nnedi.bsky.social is a contender for best book I'll read this year.

Happy Place by Emily Henry surprised me. Not really a romance guy, but I'll definitely check out more by her.

Finished the Poppy War trilogy. It is wildly overrated by booktok.

January reading wrap up.

Station Eleven was solid. I read it while I had a fever for a few days. Definitely made for an interesting experience.

Poppy War seems overhyped. I'll still read the rest.

Black Box was a fun romp. I'll try more by Jason Pargin in the future.
