Post MW26:

> Away games are difficult, proving to be the difference in the title race.

> Draws against Villa and Everton doesn’t seem as disastrous as some claimed.

> Arsenal overperforming xG, are they regressing to the mean?

> 11 points ahead, 11 games to go

> Onto Newcastle at Anfield 🔴✊

The only takeaway from this otherwise meaningless table is that if Liverpool had played with 10 men in every game this season, they’d still be better than Everton.
Mohamed Salah's goals & assists have been worth 17 points to Liverpool this season, the most of any player in the division. Without them, Chelsea would lead the league table, and Liverpool would be 13th.🤯

I think it’s impt to note that Salah is still providing world class output.

However, I think it’s also worth noting Liverpool’s POV. I’m sure they’d ideally want to extend, but what if they did and VVD or Salah tears their ACL or breaks their leg? That’s a lot of wages to pay for nothing.
I've shared this before, but - dribbling aside - Salah is basically identical now to his first season.

Caution in the transfer market I get, but here's a bona fide superstar who loves the club. Pay him. Paying him for three years is £54m; you can't replace him for that.

I see this as a chess move. He doesn’t talk much to the press but when he does it’s because he has a point to get across. It’s clear he wants to stay and negotiations are ongoing. Perhaps he’s using the media to give him and his agent the upper hand and pressure the club to accept their terms.
Mo Salah on his future. Wow

Massive win. At this point of the season it does t matter how, just get the 3 points and move on to the next one.

Big week ahead…
Mohamed Salah bails Liverpool out from the penalty spot.

The Egyptian scores twice - including his 100th goal away from home for the club - to move Arne Slot's side eight points clear at the top of the Premier League.
