Just curious, no obligation to answer. As a reading interventionist, I see many kids who end up qualifying for an IEP and I’ve had to really push colleagues to get kids the necessary supports.

Yes, the work isn’t done even when an IEP is in place! And many parents/families don’t have the time/resources to fight and so their kids are (again) disproportionately impacted!

first I’m so sorry. It’s inexcusable. That principal/school/district needs to be reported to the state. At my last school, I looked into how to file a complaint regarding refusal to evaluate. Any parent should immediately go higher up if refused. Admin is breaking the law...
