'The Sea Beast' (2022)

Lovely animation, a fabulous feisty girl, Karl Urban swearing a lot (in my head) and some delightful creature design.

'maybe you can be a hero and still be wrong' is a hell of a lesson to build a story around.

Gorgeous cinematography, brutal performances.

Extremely well done all around. I will never watch this film again.

My favourite review of this just says 'devastating!'

'The Ritual' (2025)

With a different director, and different stylistic choices, this could have been really interesting, I was reminded of the exorcism of Emily Rose, but not in a way that reflected well on this film.

Al Pacino is also here I guess, playing some kind of Redwall badger.

'Spycies' (2019) Utterly baffling.

Rewatching Godzilla X Kong: the new world, and thinking about that review I saw where someone was bemoaning how silly and cartoonish the franchise had become.

I'm sorry, but I love my giant glowing moth girlfriend and zany Kaiju vet Dan Stevens.

Some people just hate fun and good times I guess.
