That is the plan! I have a fairly basic scarf pattern I found to get my feet wet, then was going to try a kid pullover before jumping into one of the big shawls :)
That said, jumping in immediately well over my head is kind of my MO when it comes to knitting 😂

Mine is a gym teacher in the Midwest. I regularly get stuff from her cable/internet company with PII in it.
I always call them to tell them but they never fix it. 🤷♀️

This is an idea, though it’s meant to be a drop/dolman sleeve.
I’ve never really gone off-pattern or customized much before. Only a little scared. 😂

The pattern calls for picking up along the edges at a 3/4 rate, but also calls for doing the lace on smaller needles, and to get close to gauge I had to go up two sizes. I think the fabric would look better picked up at a 2/3 rate but then the whole pattern goes wonky

No, gave my recipient a bunch of choices and she picked this one. But I feel like even if it works out as per instructions the arms will be too tight, and the neckline/back is going to sit oddly if I try to make the sleeve bigger.

There’s no cables, just YOs and coordinating decreases along the panel. The YOs aren’t super visible with it not stretched out but they’re there. The lace panel is the only part I’m not having trouble with 😂

My tension is off and I can’t seem to get it right. Adjusted the length of the back of arm to compensate but can’t really do the same with the front without causing some other problems. The neckline is quite a bit shorter than I expected.
