The pattern calls for picking up along the edges at a 3/4 rate, but also calls for doing the lace on smaller needles, and to get close to gauge I had to go up two sizes. I think the fabric would look better picked up at a 2/3 rate but then the whole pattern goes wonky

I am really struggling with this project.
I have learned over time to trust the process but this just doesn’t feel right.
Thinking of scrapping the whole thing and just incorporating a lace panel on a regular raglan cardi. 🧶 #knitting

Furlough project mostly finished :)
Of course, my kids send to have grown orangutan arms so I may need to unpick the cuffs and redo them (scary, these were knotted bottom up so I’d have to redo all the ribbing I think). 🧶 #knitting

Maybe not quite as nice as you were hoping, but the last leaf hanging on to one of my redbuds, with a bunch of happy little circles cut out by leaf cutter bees, made me very happy today, so here you go :)

Nothing like getting through almost half the project before realizing you followed the directions incorrectly, your counts are all messed up, and it’s easier to just rip half your sweater out and do it over. 🧶 #knitting

Super cool find at one of our state parks today :) I’ve never noticed one in the wild before, and this turned into a great learning opportunity for a couple kids. :)

It’s not enough that I have shutdown anxiety and general existential dread (did you see that insane quantico speech today?), @kelbournewoolens.bsky.social announced Andorra is being discontinued. I really liked knitting with this yarn. Might have stress bought enough for two projects. 🧶

Cuff surgery in progress :) I’ve always been scared of this sort of thing, but turns out it’s straightforward and easy :)

Well. I almost made it. I don’t think there’s quite enough to finish that last thumb :/
I think I’m going to remove the cuffs and re-knit them with the contrast color I used for the hat. A little scared.
