Lamplighter Flail, Rare This flail has a spiked lantern mounted to the end of its chain where one would normally expect a heavy ball of steel. The handle is adorned with two hung banners bearing the mark of the Lamplighters. Though they started as simple servants lighting the candles and lanterns of darkened castles, they eventually grew into some of the nobility’s most trusted protectors. With their modified flails serving both practical and combat oriented purposes, those who carry their banner bring light to the darkest corners where evil may reside. You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magical weapon. This flail has two states that can be changed between by twisting the handle using a bonus action. The first state is darkened. When you hit a creature with an attack using this weapon while it is darkened, they become covered in a sticky, flammable oil. The oil persists for 1 minute or until the creature immerses themselves in water. There is enough oil in the lantern to coat three creatures before it must be refilled using an action. Each pint of oil poured into the lantern is enough to coat one creature. The second state is illuminated. While illuminated, the lantern sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. While illuminated, when you hit a creature that has previously been covered in oil with an attack, they are set ablaze in a ball of bright flame taking 3d8 fire damage instantly and 1d6 fire damage at the end of their turn for the next 1 minute. If the creature uses an entire turn to go prone and roll or if they immerse themselves fully in water, they stop taking fire damage at the end of their turn. Lamplighter ITEM 6 Fire, Magical Price 220 gp Usage held in 2 hands; Bulk 2 This +1 striking war flail has a spiked lantern mounted to the end of its chain where one would normally expect a heavy ball of steel. Flutter ITEM 11 Rare, Invested, Magical Price 1,200 gp Usage worn cloak; Bulk L Beautiful flowing wings resembling that of a butterfly form the basis of this cloak that wraps closely around the body of the creature who dons it. Rippling in shifting shades of pink, purple, and blue, it is obvious that this cloak is crafted from a special weave of magically infused silk that seems especially light and airy to the touch, but is also incredibly resistant to normal forms of bladed and blunt weapons. Activate [R] manipulate; Frequency Once per hour; Trigger You take damage from a non-magical source; Effect You cover yourself in the cloak, shielding you from the triggering strike. You reduce the amount of damage taken by an amount equal to your character level. Activate [2] manipulate, envision; Frequency Once per day; Effect You pull the cloak tightly around yourself, becoming cocooned within it. For the next 1 minute, or until you use one action on your turn to dismiss your speed is set to 0 and you cannot use actions or reactions. As long as the cocoon is intact, you cannot be harmed. The cocoon has Hardness 10, 60 HP, and a Broken Threshold of 28. After 1 minute, when you dismiss the cocoon, or when the cocoon becomes broken, the cloak unfurls into wings behind your back and casts fly on you, granting you the benefits of that spell for the next 5 minutes.

Kinusen Wondrous item, rare This hand painted, silken fan always smells of a fresh spring breeze. Fanning yourself with it causes illusory cherry blossom petals to form and swirl around you whimsically before fading away when they touch the ground. While holding this fan, you can use an action to flutter it and cause a field of swirling winds and cherry blossom petals to form in a 10 ft. radius around you. Ranged weapon attacks made with small projectiles such as arrows, bolts, and sling bullets are made at disadvantage if they target a creature within the winds. Ranged weapon attacks with larger projectiles such as javelins take a -2 penalty to their attack roll if they target creatures within the winds. Very large projectiles such as siege weaponry are unaffected. You can use a bonus action on subsequent turns to continue fanning the winds for up to 1 minute. You can do this a number of times per day equal to half of your proficiency bonus rounded down, recharging after dawn when the fan is held in a breeze. If a ranged weapon attack made against a creature in the winds misses, the projectile is caught in the gusts until the wind field ends. When a hostile creature starts their turn in the winds or enters it for the first time, they take 1d6 slashing damage per projectile caught in the winds.

With a swirling red and white striped pattern on the sides, gazing at this particular toy for too long makes your eyes feel heavy and your breathing grows shallow. The axle of this toy is remarkably well greased allowing it to hold its spin much longer than more common variants and the string itself is composed of a tightly hand-wrapped threading that speaks to extreme care being taken in its craft. Activate-Breakaway [1] manipulate; Frequency Once per round; Effect You perform a quick maneuver with this yo-yo and attempt to Create a Diversion with it. You gain a +1 item bonus to this action due to the distracting nature of this toy. Activate-Brain Twister [2] manipulate,envision; Frequency Twice per day; Effect You perform a dizzying array of fast paced tricks with the toy attempting to confound and confuse. Attempt a Performance skill check against the Will DC of one target within 10 feet of you. You can use one action per turn to sustain this effect for 1 minute. Twice per day while holding this yo-yo in one hand, you can use an action to perform a dizzying display of twisting tricks that can confound a creature within 5 feet of you. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Intelligence saving throw to keep up with the tricks or become charmed for 1 minute. While charmed in this way, the creature is incapacitated and has a speed of 0. The spell ends for an affected creature if it takes any damage or if someone else uses an action to shake the creature out of its stupor. Uses of this ability reset daily at dawn.

I've been wanting to get back into BG3 recently. Feels like it's been long enough for me to enjoy the story again.

That did remind me though, we made this silly little piece around the time of release and I still love it.
Larry N. Wondrous Item, uncommon When you find this chattering skull with an arrow plunked through his helm, he’ll likely be overjoyed to finally have someone to share his knowledge, opinions, and excitement with. An absolutely rambunctious personality, Larry is everything you could want in a person. He’s friendly, kind, happy to listen and share alike. He’s also possessed of a sunny disposition that no matter how bad things are, it will be alright in the end. His wide eyed excitement for all things grants you a +1 bonus to Charisma based skill checks and saving throws so long as he is on your person. An odd quirk, he views the whole world as a game, but not in a metaphorical sense. He truly believes that everything around him is a game with mechanics and systems put in place and that everyone is merely a character being controlled by what he calls “players”. He’ll often ramble about odd terms like “AC, saving throws, hit points, and skill checks”. Any who challenge him on this view are met with hearty laughs and a quick change of topic. While you are holding Larry N. you can use an action to point toward a creature that you can see and ask Larry N. about the creature. When you do so, the DM will make a secret d20 roll. On a result of 1-10 Larry N. will tell you something useless about them. On a result of 10-19 Larry N. will tell you a useful piece of knowledge about them like a weakness, their AC, or a dangerous skill they are capable of. On a 20, Larry N. will rattle off a fact about the creature instantly and again at the start of your turn for the next 2 rounds. Once you have used this ability, you cannot use it again for 1 hour.

Geyser Trident, Rare (requires attunement) The haft of this impressive trident is covered in etchings that evoke the feeling of watching over the ocean as its waves move and roil. It has a comfortable leather wrapping to ease grip and the three points at the end are especially cold to the touch. Holding this trident causes illusory strands of water to wick out from it and swirl around the weapon so long as it is in your hands.You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. While attuned to this weapon, when you throw it as part of a ranged attack, a strand of water arcs through the air between you and it. At the end of your turn, so long as you are conscious and have one hand free, the weapon magically returns to your hand. Eruption. Twice per day during your turn, you can use an action to call forth raging waters to spew a geyser from the ground. Choose a space that you can see within 30 feet of you. Water bursts forward from the earth in that space. Creatures that occupy that space must attempt a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw taking 4d6+4 bludgeoning damage and being knocked prone on a failure or half as much damage and not being knocked prone on a successful save.

Diredouser ITEM 6 Magical, Water Price 240 gp Usage held in 2 hands; Bulk 1 This odd mechanism is composed of two large tanks attached to a series of pipes and fittings that run to a contraption made to be carried with a spraying nozzle on the front. It has leather straps mounted to the tanks to allow it to be worn on a creature’s back. The tanks become charged when submersed completely in water. A Diredouser can hold up to 3 charges. Activate [1] manipulate; Frequency once per hour; Requirements The tanks are charged; Effect You expend one charge in the tank, and you choose one of the following effects. Boost! Stride twice. Drench! You target a creature within 30 feet of you that you can see and attempt to drench them. They must attempt a DC 20 Reflex save, gaining weakness 5 to electricity on a failure. This also extinguishes non-magical fire on a failure. Blast! You target a creature within 30 feet of you that you can see and blast them with a burst of water. You attempt to Shove the creature from range gaining a +2 item bonus to your Athletics check.

The KraCan Wondrous item, very rare This small can feels oddly heavy for the size of it. Turning the can around or shaking it causes you to hear the distant sound of ocean waves crashing. You can take an action to open the can and throw it up to 30 feet. When the can lands, eight otherworldly tentacles rise from it. The first eight creatures that start their turn within a 15 foot radius of the can, must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or be restrained by the tentacles. A creature that is restrained by the tentacles takes 1d8 bludgeoning damage at the start of their turn and is moved up to 10 feet in a random direction within the can’s 15 foot radius. Each tentacle has an AC of 11 and 12 hit points. Reducing a tentacle’s hit points to 0 releases a restrained creature and causes the tentacle to retract into the can. If a creature is restrained for 5 consecutive turns, they are pulled into the can and die instantly. Their body cannot be recovered by any means other than a wish spell. After 1 minute, the tentacles are pulled back into the can and the effect ends. The can magically reseals after one week.

Rock Candy ITEM 4 Consumable, Magical Price 19 gp Usage held in 1 hand Activate [2] (manipulate) A common confection to many, rock candy has come to mean crystallized sugar that has been bound to a common wooden dowel. Initially meant for consumption by wide-eyed children, it has become a treat that many enjoy well into adulthood. This rock candy though has an odd appearance, instead of the typical brightly colored sugar crystals, the surface is covered in granite-like rocks that look as though they would be difficult to bite through. Regardless of this appearance, the candy is sweet to the tongue and is able to be consumed just as easily as its non-magical cohorts. When activated, your skin tightens and hardens, turning a dark grey color. You gain resistance 5 to physical damage except adamantine for the next 20 minutes. Each time you are hit by a bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing attack, this effect’s duration decreases by 1 minute. Additionally, while this effect is active, you gain a +1 circumstance bonus to Hide actions made to conceal yourself amongst stone and rocks.

Rock Candy Consumable, Uncommon A common confection to many, rock candy has come to mean crystallized sugar that has been bound to a common wooden dowel. Initially meant for consumption by wide-eyed children, it has become a treat that many enjoy well into adulthood. This rock candy though has an odd appearance, instead of the typical brightly colored sugar crystals, the surface is covered in granite-like rocks that look as though they would be difficult to bite through. Regardless of this appearance, the candy is sweet to the tongue and is able to be consumed just as easily as its non-magical cohorts. You can spend 1 minute consuming this confection. When you do so, your skin hardens and turns to a dark grey tone. You gain resistance to nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage for the next 1 hour. Additionally, you gain a +1 bonus to stealth skill checks made to blend in with stone walls, cliffs, or in other rocky terrain.

Merry Maker Wondrous Item, Very Rare The joyous rounds of snowball fights that take place in the far northern reaches, past the wall of permafrost, are legendary amongst the workers at a certain beloved toy factory. With short days meant for work and play and long nights spent toiling away at projects, some of the elven residents of the factory started to innovate on their snowball throwing. One elf made such rapid advancement that others started to get worried. When he unveiled this 4 barrelled, fully automatic, wood and metal framed snowball cannon, they knew the game would never be the same. While holding the Merry Maker in two hands, you can use an action to fire a single snowball from its internal ice machine toward a creature that you can see within 60 feet. The creature must succeed on a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 cold damage and be blinded until the start of its next turn. You can do this 4 times before you must spend an action during your turn cranking the handle on the side of the mechanism to reload it. Let it snow. Once per day, you can use an action on your turn to rapidly crank the handle unleashing a devastating blizzard of snowballs into the air. Choose a space that you can see within 60 feet to fire towards. Creatures within a 20 foot radius sphere of that space must attempt a DC 17 Strength saving throw, taking 4d8 cold damage and falling prone on a failed save or half as much damage and not falling prone on a successful one. Additionally, the area you targeted becomes difficult terrain for 1 minute. This ability resets daily at dawn.

Amorphous Alloy Martial weapon, very rare (requires attunement) Rumors speak of the hideous Hellsmiths that wield weapons of molten metal, shaping this specialized alloy to their own whim and crafting weapons for the fiends at its side. When you attune to this weapon, you can safely touch and carry the blade though anyone within 5 ft. of it feels unbearable heat emanating from it. You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. When you find this weapon, it is in the form of either a greatsword, a greataxe, or a glaive. Once per round when you hit with an attack with this weapon, you gain one charge of Hellsmith’s Heat up to a maximum of 5. If you do not hit with an attack with this weapon during your turn, you lose a charge of Hellsmith’s Heat to a minimum of 0. Hellsmith’s Heat. For each charge of Hellsmith’s Heat you have, add +1 fire damage to any successful attacks with this weapon. When you are at 5 charges of Hellsmith’s Heat, you can use an action to emit a wave of scorching air around you and change the form of this weapon. Creatures within 20 ft. of you must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw taking 3d8 fire damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one. You can then choose to change the weapon’s shape to either a greatsword, a greataxe, or a glaive. You then lose all charges of Hellsmith’s Heat.

Smokestack ITEM 11 Rare, Magical Price 1,333 gp Usage held in 1 hand; Bulk 1 This peculiar +2 flaming striking mace is made from the well laid bricks of an old chimney that have been ripped from their usual emplacement and fashioned to a cage and soot covered wooden handle. The end of this odd chimney structure constantly belches a blackened smoke that dissipates almost immediately upon exiting the weapon. The pommel of this mace resembles a small roofed cottage, perhaps a reference to where the bricks themselves were pulled from. Activate [1] envision; Effect You picture a raging flame or a snuffed out campfire causing the weapon to either start to or stop emitting bright light in a 20-foot radius (and dim light to the next 20 feet). Activate [3] manipulate; Frequency Twice per day; Effect You wave this mace in the air causing thick, black smoke to spew from it. The mace then casts incendiary fog (DC 28 Reflex save) on an area of your choosing within range of the spell.
