String manipulation in Rust makes me appreciate every other language where it is trivially easy. Nothing works, and I have no idea why.

Reading about running a Linux environment on Android with UserLAnd, and something I don't see any definitive information on is whether the phone you get from that is still usable as a phone. Having a Linux tablet with an uncomfortably small screen doesn't seem all that useful otherwise.

They don't care that the cover-ups are clumsy. Their goal isn't to take over the news, it's to destroy it. To destroy our sense-making capacity. To destroy truth.

the main problem is the DOJ could release video footage of Trump assaulting a minor and it would be met with a chorus of "based" from one segment of his supporters and dismissed by other people claiming it was AI generated
i’m just going to assume the 90% of pages that they blacked out is ONLY donald trump

It is also the simple fact that targeting children is a way to mobilize transphobic adults against, frankly, anyone. These 'parents' are obsessed with the desire to control their children and will do anything you want if threatened with the loss of that control.
The reason they're so focused on trans teens is that people who transition younger typically blend into society better. To the extent that they're willing to tolerate our existence in society at all, they'd rather we be easily identified by our appearance/voices/etc.
Cis people really have no idea how it feels to watch a regime hold a press conference to admit, on camera, the pogrom against trans people they've been waging for 11 months is not only real, but they're going to double down on genocide and try to wipe out all the children first.

the features will be opt-in you say, despite those same features existing in firefox for a long time and being opt-out(only if you know what to disable in about:config otherwise untogglable)
All AI features will also be opt-in. I think there are some grey areas in what 'opt-in' means to different people (e.g. is a new toolbar button opt-in?), but the kill switch will absolutely remove all that stuff, and never show it in future. That's unambiguous.

and thus, attempts to unhammer their own very carefully hammered earlier dick after have started
Something that hasn't been made clear: Firefox will have an option to completely disable all AI features.

We've been calling it the AI kill switch internally. I'm sure it'll ship with a less murderous name, but that's how seriously and absolutely we're taking this.

What a monstrous song. Just over-the-top ridiculous. Cami-Cat kills it.

I got so used to pitch screaming in metal that I hadn't given much thought to how proportionally more impactful it would sound outside harsh genres, and this is a good example of that.
