At the very least something like this can be purchased cheap to get them standing up. Usually come in a few sizes too and can handle some fairly chonky books.

We haven't gotten to run our new setup (left, also it's on a smaller table than a standard banquet.) verticality is king. Also pictured, my wife and roommate.

I think I like the way our reverse outline turned out for our romantasy that Tera and I are writing. Color coded based off our which characters POV it is. Blue for Evan. Red for Riley and the purple is when their narratives fully merge. Don't read if you don't want spoilers. Just admire color coding

I am not a designer... but a mock up for the alignment tracker for Cape and Cowl. It'll do while I playtest the system more. Story teller sets the characters initial alignment. All characters (player and NPC) can use influence to raise or lower another npc's alignment at the end of each session.
