TBH tho, I don't hate the epilogue part. It didn't really hit me at all, but I get it. It's been ten years, half of the cast were literal children at the start. You wanna say goodbye, and I'd guess there's lotsa fans invested enough in the characters that want that too.

More than just personal blogs, the real loss of LJ would be the vast amounts of cultural history present on LJ for niche, fringe, or otherwise marginalized communities. If you are a maintainer for a community on LiveJournal, consider importing to Dreamwidth.
I am very, very conscious of how it looks for me to be saying this, because I own and operate a direct competitor to LJ, but: I strongly suspect, from all these signals, that Sberbank is preparing to either sell the outside-Russia part of LJ if they can find a buyer, or shut it down if they can't.

Okay, finally up to ep 8 of Stranger Things. 7 was dumb as rocks. But it did hit me that Holly has basically been the best thing about the season and makes me really wish it *was* an anthology series and every year was just some new set of kids dealing with monsters.

Wow, Stranger Things fandom might actually be doing the johnlock conspiracy again? The writing has been bad longer than it was ever good and they're just not going to make Mike gay. Like, if they were that brave they'd be doing Robin/Nancy already.

Just watched ep7 of Stranger Things. I realise now that the writers struggle to just dump the ideas they had that didn't work, and haven't really capitalised on a dynamic they found by chance since Steve and Dustin.

But yeah. I'm kinda just, not invested at all and that makes it so much easier to watch. Now, if they ran with Eleven/Max or Robin/Nancy that would be different, but clearly they won't.

Honestly, was thinking I'd hate the new season of Stranger Things, but it's okay. Lot of stuff that annoys me like the "I've got a plan and I need visual aids to explain this!"
