This is Clio. She did not study for the test today. Also does not know how to read. 12/10 (IG: paspastotoro)
a black and gray long-haired yorkiepoo sits at a desk in a university classroom. a piece of paper lays on the desk in front of her, her paws propped up on the desk as if she's bracing herself. there are students in the background hunched over and working on paper in front of them. the pup looks at the camera with a concerned side eye. she's realizing she probably should have read some of the homework before eating it.

A still from the original video showing the Reichstag in Berlin, and the new video with Belfast City Hall.
Heather Humphreys removes campaign video mistaking Belfast for Berlin
A shot of the Reichstag in Berlin appeared to have been included in the video instead of Belfast City Hall.

Definitely more efficient, I’m not *totally* convinced about the mess 😬

And most of the world doesn’t have them - I’ve lived in 3 countries and never had a credit score

I have some questions about the logistics of repeatedly throwing someone under a bus. Do you pick them up yourself so you can throw them the second time, or…?

I once worked as a secretary for a big commercial law firm in Dublin and we’d have to fax 300 page contracts to the other side on closing day, sometimes at 2am. It would send 288 of them before just swallowing p289. And then you’d have to start again from scratch, murder in your heart
acidrains.bsky.social
This is true up to a point, but those of us old enough to have had to use fax machines know what it is to encounter true malevolence

all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.

what's so odd is that the styling it out lasted maybe 36hrs and then Gavin took his ball and went home. It really does make me wonder if this tenant was the only one, and when MM heard that he pushed him to drop out.

This is actually somehow WORSE for FF, cos apparently the paper contacted the party about it before he was the confirmed candidate and they ignored it! And more broadly, I'm no fan of the Sunday World, but its reporters are entitled to protection from rogue landlords too 😀

I still remember 25 years ago a distant acquaintance visiting Dublin who I met for lunch and once we’d eaten he *hid in the restaurant toilet* until after I’d paid. He’s a full professor in the US now, and I know that cos occasionally I remember the incident and Google him. We remember this shit

Thank you, I’ll look there too!

Clever people of Bluesky, if a person has a 2yr old gas boiler, would they be able to see this yoke somewhere in the boiler cupboard, looking more or less like it does in the picture? Cos I can’t see anything like that! #speirgorm
Which circulating pumps have been recalled and how do you know if your heating system has one?
It’s one of the largest ever product safety alerts issued by the CCPC, with more than 114,000 heating systems affected.

And if people use it for work emails, it’s going to lead to arguments, disciplinary action, firings and law suits. Fun!

This, this is the kind of rich international cultural exchange the internet was invented for!

I can’t get over a debt being ignored for SIXTEEN years. It makes me wonder whether it’s the only one, too?

Hilarious, but probably good for Humphreys? 😕

I just don’t watch or read any sci-fi, it’s v much a choice!

Never seen any Star Wars movies

Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

But the Maynooth trains still need to run along the Glasnevin section of line? (We do so need a map!)
acidrains.bsky.social
They definitely run the Maynooth trains thru that tunnel occasionally, if drumcondra is out of action - but maybe it rejoins the track too early to solve the issue?
