The ENTIRE purpose of society, of civilization, is pooling our resources to ensure the survival of every member. The survival of the weakest strengthens us in a way that makes us uniquely human, uniquely inventive, gives us medicine and art and joy. Letting "the weak" die strips us of our humanity.
