Ok, gentle rant, but why are NZ pinot gris now being sav-blanc-ified? There's a reason I drink pinot gris and not sav-blanc (especially not NZ sav-blanc) and now I'm grumpy. I mean, I like a gooseberry as much as the next girl, but seriously?

Mum was given Guinness with dinner every night she was in hospital after giving birth to me in the 70s. Hospital on the Wirrall, UK. She was the only one breastfeeding on the entire maternity ward, and so the only one with the Guinness.

I'm feeling very "get off my lawn", but yesterday I saw a kid 'riding' one of those fat bikes (zero pedalling), helmet unfastened, both hands on his phone, no attention on the road. He then pulled swerved directly in front of me into a side street. Slammed on the brakes, him utterly oblivious.

Argh! Just realised that I deactivated Twitter without following everyone on bluesky. And after quickly *reactivating* it so I could go through my following list, I discover that it's empty. Think I managed to remember most of the important ones.
And now have de-deactivated. Phew.

The thing is, some turkish delight is so damn good that I *would* sell out my family (well some of them anyway) to a cold witch. And if the cold witch was also Tilda Swinton then I reckon they couldn't complain too much anyway.
