Great to see. Hopefully the Cork Luas won't take as long!

One of my favourite things about Lund 🇸🇪 is how pleasant it is to walk through the suburbs.

The city has a wide network of cycle/footpaths surrounded by trees and green spaces. There's underpasses under many busy roads, making journeys even safer.

Ireland has a lot to learn. #Lund #Cork

I'm here for a 2 year masters. I don't even need to cycle because it's so quick to walk everywhere!

The Straight Road cycle lane is awful and leaves people stranded while trying to cross a busy road.

Meanwhile, the same road (N22) has light segregation, an inner kerb, and a toucan x'ing a few km away.

Please sign this petition to call for safer cycling to Bcollig.

Moving to Sweden recently has really made me realise how backwards Cork is in terms of sustainable travel.

What's discussed as a major (and controversial) greenway project in Ireland is basic and abundant public infrastructure in Lund.

Overgrown gutters should not be tolerated at all.

Went hiking in Kullaberg, Skåne over the weekend. If you told me this was somewhere in West Cork, I'd believe it! #Sweden #Cork

Delivery to Sweden from @kennysbookshop.bsky.social. Great to support Irish businesses (and learn about what Ireland can do in the climate crisis) even when living abroad. Looking forward to reading @thinkorswim.bsky.social.

Being from one myself (Cork), I always love visiting the second largest cities in different countries.

Today Gothenburg did not disappoint, can highly recommend! #Sweden

Jakriborg, Hjärup. Located on the train line between the Swedish cities of Lund and Malmö, it looks like a historic medieval village. In reality construction began in the 1990s!

A fascinating experiment in urban planning. Do all new neighbourhoods always need to look "new"?

Lund, Sweden. Where walking to the shop looks like this...

Something you'd never see in Ireland: a bicycle traffic jam! Very common across Copenhagen.

Great video. Showing the ambition Cork needs and deserves.

Transport should support and enable healthy lifestyles, but in Dublin, it doesn’t.

Cities like Paris and Copenhagen have transformed their transport systems to prioritise people and their health, not cars.

Dublin keeps falling further behind.

What getting from A to B looks like in Dublin if you want to do it safely and comfortably.

This is planning-induced transport poverty — the result of prioritising cars above all else.

The negative effects of this ‘system’ are endless.

We need change!

Team fell asleep in the second half and never woke up. Not the fitting conclusion that this great year of Cork hurling deserved.

Hopefully the drought can end after 21 years...
