“They are deliberately blurring the line between speech protected by the First Amendment and violence or other unlawful activity, and they seem to be quite explicitly listing viewpoints that they don’t like as predicates for an all-of-government crackdown."
Trump’s Directive on ‘Organized Political Violence’ Could Lead to Increased Surveillance of His Critics
The president issued a directive that could make dissent riskier for people and nonprofits.

Holy hell. DHS just openly stated that its agents use “reasonable suspicion” to make ARRESTS. This is blatantly unconstitutional. The Supreme Court is clear that you need probable cause to arrest someone, as opposed to stop them to ask them a question or two. This is huge b/c…

Maybe Brendan Carr can weigh in.

Delaware GOP demanding an investigation and "consequences" over a University of Delaware student comedy sketch TV show (akin to SNL) because its closing credits offered "Special Thanks to: Charlie Kirk's Killer" (and also "Cocaine" and "Pollution").
Executive Director of Delaware GOP tweets: 🚨 University of Delaware TV Network Thanks “Charlie Kirk’s Killer” in Credits — Then Covers It Up

@UDelaware
’s STN49, advised by the Comms Department, aired “The
@BiweeklyShow
 ” with that credit. After students noticed, it was deleted and reuploaded. I’m told the department wanted it to “go away quietly.”

No accountability just a cover-up.

It was produced under faculty oversight, funded by the university, and greenlit through a sanctioned program. Who approved this and what consequences will follow?

You will be shocked, SHOCKED, to learn that comedians performing in Riyadh are banned from performing material that mocks or criticizes the Saudi government and royals. Who could’ve predicted that a country that executes journalists and jails and tortures its critics would have such policies???
One of the screenshots of the alleged contract states in its “Content Restrictions” section, “ARTIST shall not prepare or perform any material that may be considered to degrade, defame, or bring into public disrepute, contempt, scandal, embarrassment, or ridicule:

“A) The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including its leadership, public figures, culture, or people; B) The Saudi royal family, legal system, or government, and; C) Any religion, religious tradition, religious figure, or religious practice.”

IT’S A CALL TO ACTION (that happens every day and only results in prayer)

Florida congressman extremely concerned by primary issue in his district: Muslims praying in Michigan.
Randy Fine tweet: Muslims blasting their "prayers" in an American city at 5 AM isn't a call to worship, it's a call to action.
This is their warning siren. We should listen.
No different than the German Stuka dive bomber scream of WWII.

For all the caterwauling that Comey’s “8647” seashell message was a threat (it was not), notable that he wasn’t charged for that.

It was founded in the 1700s so I’m pretty confident that the existence of the Park Police is pretty low on the list of threats of dictatorship.

An important question about whether this is lawful is what the permit says. So I'm asking the Park Police to release the Epstein statue files. www.muckrock.com/foi/united-s...

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

A competent opposition party would be asking why an attorney who is supposed to be defending the right to free speech would instead be seeking to suppress it.

A senior attorney in the DOJ's Office for Civil Rights is pressuring a public university to fire a faculty member for commenting on Charlie Kirk:
Leo Terrell tweets: "Your move @montanastate," sharing a Libs of Tik Tok post about Samantha Balemba-Brownlee for saying that Kirk "was a misogynistic, racist, homophobic, xenophobic asshole. He spread hate. He harmed society. He cut down women at every turn. No, I do not mourn the man" and "Holy shit! Someone shot CHarlie Kirk in the neck! Not condoning violence, but maybe people are sick of the garbage he spews, perhaps?"
