My mom (and then I) sang in close harmony groups. A cappella was just a thing we did that was weird.

And then it exploded. And because I have so much a cappella close harmony in my Christmas collection, when we first saw Pitch Perfect, Mr. B said, "This sounds like Christmas music!"

That's one of the major songs of my childhood. I was a serious music nerd and practiced that song until I could hold that note.

Many people are posting close-reads of the gay hockey romance show and book series, and calling out solid critique right now. Romance deserves good-faith criticism.

“You are all mindless fanatics with no critical thinking skills who do not appreciate true art” is the worst-faith criticism.
