During COVID, I started writing a novel about Romans hitting each other with historically accurate swords.

It’s called The Boar and the Eagle and it’s now out in the wild, and sold 100+ copies!

Gritty, grounded, and full of betrayal, sandals, and bad decisions.

Feeling a little giddy today after getting the first (text) review for my novel. What better motivation is there than this?! #amwriting #booksky

"Why does my cat insist on begging every time I eat?" I ask myself, dropping a small piece of ham onto the floor. "I don't know where he's picked this up from," I add on bended knee, delivering the leftovers into his domain.

it genuinely sucks that basically nothing on the internet works well anymore. search? barely works. social media? filled with garbage engagement-bait designed to game the algorithm. news websites? pages that refresh at random or so covered in video ads that it’s impossible to read stories

New year, new #amwriting goal: One short story published *somewhere* each month. Try to build some momentum for another big writing project in the future.

It's impressive just how much of a nosedive the writing on Netflix's Castlevania takes after the first two seasons.

Looking from the outside in it'd be absolutely mad for Spurs to sack Ange Postecoglou. 11th with a GD of +14, still missing half the team... Potential for a lot of humble pie to be eaten by analysts next year.

Begging at the feet of an oligarch-in-waiting. Very normal behaviour.

Soon be into the third day of no water thanks to SES Water breaking their treatment works nearby. As much as I like roleplaying a Victorian urchin washing myself in a tin tub I'd like it solved tbh.

War of the Rohirrim: Pleasantly surprised by how good it was, a few animation and dubbing issues aside. Now kind of interested to see what it sounds like in Japanese.

One of my favourite things about Warhammer Rogue Trader is the incredulity with which your companions react when you do something that isn't violent, bigoted, or authoritarian.

My cat brought in a whole uneaten sausage roll from outside. Wrestled it off him and he returned 5 minutes later with a second uneaten sausage roll. Is he just rocking up at Gregg's?
