“What is The Force?”
It was a simple question with a million and one answers, most of which were true, yet one word stood out in Orchid’s mind.
“Balance.” She answered. “We give to it, and it gives back to us, this is the essence of the Light. We take from it, and it takes back from us, this is the essence of the Dark.”
Quinn smiled, as any mother would at a child passing a test. “Damn right Cornflower, balance is at the heart of The Force, and The Force is at the heart of everything.” She ignited her Lightsaber, as did Orchid. “One last test. What guides the tip of the sword…?”
“The Pommel.” Orchid answered with no hesitation, and Quinn raised an eyebrow, Orchid was not phased however, she’d watched her mother train and fight for two decades now. “The Hilt offers stability, and so you grip it with your offhand, meanwhile you use your main hand to control the Pommel, which in turn controls the blade.”
Quinn let out a bemused sigh. “Guess I made that one a bit easy, huh?”
“I always found it odd…” Orchid mused. “That you’d hold the grip with your offhand, so I started to watch your main hand.”
“You really are a Shara.” Quinn laughed. After years of reconciling her identity few words were more comforting to Orchid. “Yeah, the essence of Shara style is the Pommel, its why our Lightsabers have a weighted Pommel. Our Mothers pass down this technique. I…” Quinn hesitated a moment. “I wish my mom got time to teach me more, I had to fill in a few gaps...”
Orchid smiled as she spoke. “We’ll rediscover it. The Force is Balance, and the more we teach, the more we learn.” The feeling of pride in Quinn’s chest was almost overwhelming, a mother could not hope for more from a child.

For about half a year I have been unable to play most of my games on the gaming laptop (Windows 11…).
Nothing I have done makes them work. They just crash before opening or just refuse to open.
I was playing a game, it crashed and ever since I can’t play most shit.
I am tired of this trash man.

If a placeholder can be mistaken for not being a placeholder, it's the worst placeholder.
Plus, the "it's not in the finished game" excuse ignores the environmental impact that all gen AI use has.

"we USE ai, but our game wont CONTAIN it" is a clarification that no one has ever cared about & now CEOs are using it as a wedge to get their foot in the door as a part of a long term plan into normalizing AI, just like how 'it's just placeholder' was used with E33. dont cede even an inch of ground

I've spent so much time listening to people talk about how we should've backlashed HARDER about horse armor to prevent the MTX hell timeline we're in. I think now is a similar moment where for every inch we give we will lose 100 miles. Anything less than outright condemnation of Gen AI isn't enough.

“I swear, that building manager does this just to spite me…” Neene groaned, as she took a long drag.
“The lift to the roof has never worked, been like that since before I lived here.” Rina chuckled. “Considered quitting? Wouldn’t have to deal with high places with no disability access.” She added with a grin.
“Hell no!” Neene replied as she let out a plume of smoke. “An addiction ain’t a bad thing to have.”
“Really?” Rina asked, already mentally prepared for absurdity.
“Really! I go without nicotine for a day or two, or god forbid even longer, an’ its like I suddenly only got one problem in the whole damn world! Everything else? It don’t even register.
