John McKay worked at Marylebone in the 1980s but at weekends he was a driver on the Bluebell Railway in Sussex. A gentleman of the first order, it was my privilege to join him on the footplate for a day.

When aGP practice sends an AccuRx/Systmone invite to book an appointment in the next 7-14 days, and there’s none available for over three months…it tells me that the IT and process needs a rethink, not that they don’t have appointments.

I’m getting my head around things like this in the context of it having been published around the time my house was built. 😳
One of the challenges of fixing NHS dental care is that few of the directors/managers based in in ICBs (responsible for commissioning dental services) have much understanding of dental providers and their NHS contract. Dental is now crudely lumped together with pharmacy and opticians (POD).

Measles has now hit 800+ cases in the USA across 24 states. Montana has reported its first case since 1999. Should we be requiring visitors to the UK from the USA to provide evidence of vaccination before boarding flights?
