Great piece; theres compelling character work in bits of Hades 2 but it feels like it's setting up a turn that never comes. It feels like a story written backwards from its mechanics, but in a way that comes out arguably worse than the first one

Insofar as young gay men are expected to have a diva to faun over, Shirley Manson was mine. It felt like a personal gift when Beautiful Garbage released on my birthday (especially because its lead single was called Androgyny, come on).

I signed up for it last time so I could bypass the annoyances and the app still constantly pinged me and tried to guilt me to a point where I realized what I was using it for (German) I was better off just reading books and muddling out vocab.
