It’s telling that after $6.8 million spent over 7 months, the lede in the news outlet that Kraft chose to be interviewed by is still “son of NE Patriots owner Robert Kraft.” No independent identity because it’s not there.

Among the interesting info from this table is the tidbit that Josh Kraft reported Chestnut Hill as his address in his May 2024 donation to NYC mayor Eric Adams. Didn’t he “move” to Boston in late 2023?

On 8/27, Jim Braude asked if he was going to give himself any more $$ above the $2M he'd done earlier. Kraft said that he "didn't know yet".

Not clear why he does not identify his employer when making these large contributions, but lists "Kraft Group" on others.

Wu Campaign Calls on Josh Kraft to Return Contributions from Trump-Affiliated Law Firm and Donations from Misleading Emails Following reporting in the New York Times that New York-based law firm Paul Weiss is providing millions of dollars in free legal services to advance Donald Trump's chaotic and dangerous policy agenda - under a deal reportedly brokered by Robert Kraft - the Wu Campaign is calling on Josh Kraft to return thousands of dollars in contributions from top Paul Weiss management. "Josh Kraft's campaign is being propped up by billionaires, Trump donors, and lawyers engaged in implementing Donald Trump's anti-Boston agenda," said the campaign. "While the City and people of Boston are facing unprecedented attacks from Donald Trump, Josh Kraft has repeatedly refused to return these contributions. We are once again calling on Josh Kraft to stand up for Boston and return these contributions immediately." Legal scholars have widely decried the Paul Weiss settlement as particularly corrupt and unconstitutional, establishing a framework for Donald Trump to extort major law firms and punish companies that refuse to submit to him. Soon after the deal his father brokered between Trump and Paul Weiss was announced, Josh Kraft accepted thousands in donations from major partners in the firm. According to OCPF records, Josh Kraft has received at least $7,000 in max-out contributions from Paul Weiss management, including Chairman Brad Karp, who directly negotiated the firm's agreement with Donald Trump, and other senior leaders of the firm. The Paul Weiss donations are not the only set of Kraft campaign contributions with troubling origins. Last month, the Boston Globe and other outlets reported that Josh Kraft was sending highly deceptive fundraising emails disguised as appeals from national Democrats, including Governor Roy Cooper of North Carolina and U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett of Texas. The emails sparked rebukes of Josh Kraft from two other elected leaders whose names he used, U.S. Senator Adam Schiff and U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell of California, both of whom stated that they were unaware Josh Kraft was using their names and images to trick donors. Josh Kraft has refused to disclose the number of contributors who donated in response to the emails or the amount raised. The scandal contributed to the ActBlue platform changing its policies on candidate fundraising emails. "Josh Kraft should do the decent, honorable thing and return the contributions to every person he tricked into donating through these scam emails," said the Wu Campaign.

Last week, Boston received a letter from AG Bondi threatening to prosecute officials and withhold funds unless we cooperate with carrying out mass deportations.

The US Attorney General asked for a response by today, so here it is: stop attacking our cities to hide your administration’s failures.
