You'd think I'd have advice for the current North American cold snap, living where I do, but in practice I know fuck-all about best practices because this happens every year here and all the houses are built to handle it. It's going down to -42C this weekend and my only plan is "don't go outside".

Truth be told, current PC part prices are just one more straw on the back of reasons why I'm going to be slowing down with content creation. I don't want to wear out what I have, at a time when I may not be able to replace it. 😞

Came out a tad short, but oatmeal bread was a success. Consistency reminds me more of a biscuit, but with a more breakfasty taste. Would probably be good with peanut butter and jam. 🍞

I'm at a weird crossroad where I want to re-open a blog platform so that I can share more detailed thoughts about my interests (I regret missing out on Destructoid), because I genuinely enjoy writing essays, and short-form posts aren't my style.

My New Year’s resolution is probably pretty obvious, but it’s to focus on self-healing. Both physical and mental. Try out new meds so I can eat basic foods again.
And to spend more time just for myself. Not making content (though I still will for a few things), and just reduce controllable stress.

Officially got diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Will be starting medications for it at the beginning of 2026.
Long story short, my immune system attacks my digestive system (mouth, throat, stomach, intestines), so I really need to be careful monitoring symptoms and food sensitivities going forward.

Another reason I’m down for taking a semi-hiatus, is I’m pretty sure I’ve angered The Algorithm to the point I might *actually* be shadow-banned.
All my stats took a plunge a few months back and have never recovered. Even for new games.

I've genuinely been attempting to get back to FF14 since October (the weather is definitely cool enough now). But it's just been impossible without both dropping other projects, and also with how frequently I've been in the hospital (bi-monthly, if not *weekly*).
