Star Trek being an authoritarian military operation was a poor choice from Gene Roddenberry's time in the Army Air Corps, and portraying goofy college kids is a step towards rank being utter bullshit that I approve of.

I like SNW better, but I can respect The Orville for doing social commentary better. Seth got a license to do whatever the hell he wanted, and he did alright with it.
