Wish I could agree. Making her as edgy and cynical as everyone else in the show is part of why seasons 2 and 3 are such bummers.

Very true. I found Lion King to be the most unnecessary remake because it lacks humans so it would only replace the animation style, and the overall execution was "the same but worse". Only went to both that and Mufasa (which was slightly better but still lacking) because I had a free ticket.

Just a reminder this is not live-action, just photorealistic animation. (Not that Disney's remakes are often misfires anyway)
