there are 96 schools with 0 white students

creation of magnet schools and selective enrollment schools were an attempt to attract white families and they really operated as a way to pool resources away from Black and brown kids

bread/milk/eggs run out because those are just common things to buy! people could be buying exactly their normal amount and just the fact they all shifted to doing it over 12 hours instead of 72 hours will mean the shelves will be empty. there is not that much slack in how the stores are stocked!

You might know about King's visit to Chicago in 1966 but before that in 1963, King and local and National Civil Rights leaders supported Chicagos School boycott known as Freedom Day.

When King was in Chicago in '66 he did a call in radio show and answered a question about from a student who had participated in Freedom Day. Here's audio of his response. It's ALWAYS great to listen to King speak along with his written words.

Pretty much every non-hype defense of LLM products begins with "first you must already understand your work extremely well, have ironclad ethics, and also verify all of its outputs in their entirety" and these are simply not realistic conditions for a product to *require* before it can be useful.
