tbh watching the US senate go has been an eye opener, US parliamentary procedure is absolutely demented and allows a single senator to gum up everything like it was the fucking pre-partition Sejm but not one of them, not even Warren or Sanders, have taken advantage of that.

You're missing the point. Italy has never had anything close to the equivalent of German denazification. As a matter of fact it's the US that decided Italian fascism should be kept around in case of socialism.
