I can’t get over how we’re just letting this happen. Willing to squander years of advancement for these sociopaths and put our children at risk. It’s unconscionable.

if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.

I know it’s hard to keep up these days, but the unlawful detention of Mr. Khalil should scare anyone that values free speech and protection under the constitution.

Alright I’ll bite: what percent of kids do we think will actually look at these as bots as “guides” to augment learning instead of just using them to substitute research/writing? I was a huge dork who loved the library and I would’ve used it to do my homework, not learn…bc that’s how kids think!
Viewing AI chatbots as interactive guides--crafting thoughtful prompts and refining follow-up questions--is absolutely a learning skill. It teaches critical thinking, curiosity, and how to engage with information dynamically. Not a replacement for teachers, but a tool to sharpen how one can learn.
