Just realized I never properly re-introduced myself. Hi, I’m Jason, aka @airlineflyer. I post about airplanes, airports, trains, public transit and travel. I co-host @flightradar24.com’s AvTalk podcast with @petchmo.bsky.social.

Looking forward to reconnecting with familiar names meeting new ones.

Undisclosed Airlines once again expanding its Airbus fleet, ordering 8 A350-900 on September 16.

A private customer also ordered 2 A350-900 on September 8.
airlineflyer.net
Undisclosed Airlines placed an order for 7 A350-1000 on August 22nd, bringing its total for the year to 70 aircraft.

Undisclosed airlines has transferred its recent order of 10 A330-900neo to Saudia Group’s flyadeal, as it is apparently starting up long-haul service.

Starfleet doesn't just hand those out to anyone, ya know

Ahhhhh, the head scratches at the end. I need closure on this, @en.afp.com! What happened to the big cat?

VIDEO: 🇧🇷 Jaguar with apparent gunshot wounds saved from Brazilian river

Military police and animal protection agents rescued the animal from the Rio Negro, a tributary of the Amazon, after creating a makeshift float for it to hold onto to keep its head above water

I think any of the interesting routes will be out of NRT, not GUM.

United is going to announce new international destinations tomorrow and I'm chatting with @byerussell.com on the possibilities. It basically boils down to how far can United fly a MAX 8 out of NRT and isn't also served by ANA.

My best guess is additional South Korea cities, Jeju and/or Busan.

Think of the most off the beaten path route you can
Then like find it’s smaller, more obscure sibling
	And that’s it

Jason Rabinowitz:
Really hard to beat Mongolia, ned lol

Absolutely wild ad pull on an M3 today, I think car 9876?
Tattered Pan Am Shuttle ad stuck onto the back wall of a railcar with woodgrain paneling

The selfishness of drivers is just insane
airlineflyer.net
Fucking annoying, those guys

The first agent (his first day) brought me over to another guy at the same intersection who understood the issue and said they’d take care of it. But I watched as nothing happened. It’s, ugh…

Drivers are generally doing their best to stay out of the bus lanes, and when they do the busses go 🏎️

NYPD enforcement of illegal parking along Flatbush is critical here and just isn’t happening.
airlineflyer.net
I went out to Flatbush to see the new bus lanes and uhmmm it’s a bit of a mess for now. Very little signage and markings with sudden lane shifts.

Illegal parking is a major problem. One vehicle reduces road capacity by 50%. I asked an NYPD traffic agent and he’s like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it’s my first day lol

Air traffic controllers ended the last government shutdown and they're sure as shit leading that charge again in 2025.

There are staffing triggers today (so far!) from Dallas to the oceanic routes across the Atlantic. Flying anywhere is going to get increasingly bad.
A BNA GROUND DELAY PROGRAM WAS ISSUED DUE TO A STAFFING TRIGGER.
ZNY HAS ADDED ADDITIONAL AIRWAYS TO THEIR OCEANIC ROUTE CLOSURES.
TEB WAS ADDED TO THE PLAN FOR A POSSIBLE INITIATIVE DUE TO THE PHL
AREA C STAFFING TRIGGER.

Amazing that @wired.com acknowledged that its approach is overkill and users don’t want to see it, but then posted another dozen and counting times.
airlineflyer.net
Just go to change your flight and you can simply pay the fare difference to move between cabins on the same flight
airlineflyer.net
You can pay at least three different amounts to upgrade on United.

$90 through the seat map
20k miles + $75 through the upgrade module (lol)
$45 fare difference
airlineflyer.net
There’s simply no way to know
airlineflyer.net
It's not official until I see a dog in a bag
airlineflyer.net
There's a big difference between posting a roundup story and a great deal here and there and what you've done here today. So far you have posted more than a dozen times about Amazon "deals." This clearly wasn't about your subscribers spending wisely but about maximizing referral link clicks.
airlineflyer.net
Bluesky glitches are fun but also not that far off from reality
airlineflyer.net
Holy shit look at the @wired.com website
airlineflyer.net
This now makes 15 posts about Amazon deals. Literally nobody subscribes to @wired.com for this.

I hate to cancel my subscription after the amazing journalism they have done recently but wtf is this
airlineflyer.net
STOP WITH THE AMAZON SPAM POSTS!! This is not why anyone subscribes to you. The fuck are you posting so damn much about this for?
