Tonight, I'll go home and sleep in my bed. I have a lawyer, I'll get due process.

But Edgardo, whose arm was ripped from mine by ICE agents, has none of those things.

That's why I'll keep coming back to court, week after week, to make sure that people's rights are protected.

What this narrative conveniently ignores is that this regression on trans rights is the result of a decade long political strategy by the far right funded to the tune of over billion dollars. I'm not making this up, they literally wrote this exact strategy down in 2015. Every aspect of it.

I need y'all to understand what the NYT, Dem donors, and centrists are doing here. They're pushing the narrative that trans people went too far and we deserve what is happening to us.

It's pure victim blaming and it's not done yet, there's a Confessore piece in the works with the same framing.

I need folks who are discussing whether or not Congress would ever pass a federal abortion ban to read up on the Comstack Act. The plan is to use an existing law. This has been widely written about. Political reporters should be aware by now.
This 1873 Law Could Be Used to Ban Abortion. Why Not Repeal It?
Some Democrats reportedly want to introduce a bill to protect the right to abortion against the antiquated Comstock Act. But others are hesitating.
