The medication was in the nearby local warehouse. But it never arrived.

That's because, despite Rubio's blanket waiver for life-saving aid, each USAID program needed an individual waiver. The program that delivered the malaria medications in Congo did not get one for months. 3/

Suza, a girl who loved frilly dresses, got sick with malaria in February. First a cough, then a fever. Then she couldn’t breathe. But the local clinic near her house ran out of the severe malaria medication she needed in January.

I'm surprised the article didn't share more info on the science of recovered memories via MDMA and of recovered memories in general, as it would strengthen the already strong story. I expected it to mention what we learned from the false satanic panic accusations, for example.

The woman doesn't name the teacher but locals could figure out who it was. The publisher didn't require she ask the man for comment, or to simply alert him that the book was coming out.

And apparently publishers don't usually fact check memoirs which blew my mind!

I’ve known about the trend of non-Messianic Christian orgs hosting “Passover Seders” but I just came across one such org hosting a Yom Kippur event to argue that the holiday (the most sacred in Judaism) supports the Christian view of Jesus.
