A lore piece on Lumita's history as Allag's first Ultima.

First Prototype: Allag initially experiments with a humanoid weapon who could contain and harness the power of Ultima, but later abandons the project due to human nature overriding protocols. She is then kept in a stasis
chamber by Lahabrea. Allag would later experiment with two other
humanoid prototypes (likely more mechanical and obedient) but those were deemed failures and discarded.
Second Gen: Ultima Warrior, the third prototype following Voluntas and the two failed creations, maintained Voluntas’ bipedal humanoid form while built as a biomech to better obey command. Ultima Beast was another test run for a creature of unparalleled strength. Another prototype in this generation was created, later scrapped.
Future Gen Prototype: From the experience gained in their many prototypes following the 2nd Gen, Allag creates Proto-Ultima, the predecessor to the Ultima Weapon. However, it runs on an artificial intelligence unit based on Voluntas’ combat memory and Ultima Warrior. Due to the humanoid nature from Voluntas, Proto-Ultima was less aggressive and elected to self-destruct than inflict suffering..
Lumita: In 1513 Sixth Astral Era, an explosion in Ayzs Lla sent parts of the original Ultima’s holding cell to the ground and her body near destroyed. Ultima was able to remake herself with the help of Azem’s innate power, boasting a new form and name, one of her own choice. In consequence to her reformation, she would have no memory of her true self until her return to Ayzs Lla in the Seventh Astral Era.
G-Warrior: Garlond Ironworks recovered the Ultima Warrior prototype and repurposed it into the G-Warrior, now given a purpose closer to Lumita herself, the first weapon who now serves a fight for good.
Weapons Project: Garlemald sought to revitalize the Ultima Weapon Project using synthetic auracite to merge mortal vessels to newly made weapon models with combat experienced artificial intelligence.

Oh — new reporting on Pope Leo from El Paso Matters, citing footage they have of yesterday's meeting.

Sounds like the pope was even *more* forceful in urging U.S. bishops to speak out about immigration than first reported.

“I was struck at the beginning (of the video), it talks about the feeling of powerlessness, which I think is so much. I think it’s so important that we as a church give a message of hope in the midst of these horrible struggles, what’s going on in so many cities in the United States right now. At least the church cannot be silent,” the pope told the El Pasoans, according to a video of the meeting provided to El Paso Matters by Hope Border Institute.

Seitz responded: “You’ve spoken very strongly. We’re trying to do the same in our country and yet not get into the political fray the best that we can.”

Pope Leo told Seitz that he’d like to see the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops become more vocal on immigration issues.

“I mean, even within the conference, there are challenges. That’s one place they should be … I wish they were stronger in their own voice,” Leo said, adding that Archbishop Timothy Broglio, the president of the conference, should speak out more on immigration.

“There’s been some good movement in that sense, but I certainly intend to continue to encourage” U.S. bishops to address immigration, Leo said.
