As todays "Ain't nature awesome" entry I offer you this picture.
It's a grass seedling, from tip to tip about 20cm/8".
Just at the base of the overground section, you can see the original seed case.
The whole of that little plant came from a seed about 2mm/0.1" long.
Marvellous!

IMHO USAmerika is making a mash up of 1984, Brave New World, The HandmaidsTale, Metropolis, & Animal Farm.
There's bits of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (Blade Runner), The Time Machine, I,Robot, Back to the Future 3, & many of the early bond movies.
I may have missed some though.
