These are my two silkie hens, Fluff and Puff. It pisses them off, but they'll be chillin in a dog crate in my basement laundry room this weekend because they are not built for subzero.

Went to the Peaceful Vigil for victims of ICE in KCMO yesterday. FREAKISHLY sunny afternoon. Saw a bunch of great signs, heard a bunch of great speakers. Felt nice to be with so many like minded peoples, but the best part was the CONSTANT honking of horns in support from cars randomly driving by.

After the first big snow of the season yesterday, my rooster Wookiee Foot was lookin handsome at sunset tonight. He was pissed when i grabbed him to rub vaseline on his comb and waddle to avoid frost bite.

On this Veteran's Day, thinking of MY favorite Veteran, my amazing Grandfather Lawrence DeForest. He stormed the beach at Normandy and liberated concentration camps in WW2. Gone since 2018, I miss him today and always.

Today was me and my fella's 22 yr wedding anniversary. When we got together i barely thought about politics, but now, livin in red MO, i am grateful to have landed with a soul so politically, emotionally and spiritually aligned. We don’t always 100% agree, but at least i know he shares my values.

i’m in KCMO and my local feed store was COMPLETELY sold out of chicks. Also i noticed they were $7-$12 a chick, where in years past it was more like $3-$5.

My newish pup got fixed yesterday and was hella drugged when i picked her up.

My pups prefer their best friend the heater vent.

My ballot was # 434 thru the machine, which is a high number from past experience, esp when this is MO’s first year for no excuse early voting. Hoping for the best! Yes on 3 in MO!

I saw this cutie in traffic last week. I wonder if the pup thinks "Let's roll!" anytime the owner grabs their helmet.

I see this groundhog every few days at the same spot on my way to work. On days he’s not there i still tell him “Hi” and “Have a great day!” In my mind.
