CAMP YELLOWWOOD
"Where the livin's good"
Photo of me wearing a yellow "summer camp"-style t-shirt with art printed in red depicting an axe violently splitting a log. Above the art, faux "wood" letters spell out CAMP YELLOWWOOD, and underneath, a slogan in quotes, "Where the livin's good"—it's the official LAKE YELLOWWOOD SLAUGHTER t-shirt

Saw it a few months ago for the first time myself, in the theater

Mail call: you're getting your Lake Yellowwood Slaughter kickstarter fulfillment any day now; I'm getting my "very good" secondhand copy of the National Geographic Picture Atlas of Our Universe (1994), we are not the same
Title page of the National Geographic Picture Atlas of Our Universe, featuring the title flying through space leaving colored yellow-orange-red trails The two-page spread immediately following, with the title further along on its journey, cropping at the page edges Two-page intro art for the chapter "Sun Gods to Gamma Rays—Beginnings" featuring an ancient Egyptian harvesting wheat by the Nile with a pyramid in the background, shading his eyes with his forearm and looking directly at the sun (smart), which is represented as the sun god Ra sailing across the daytime sky in his solar barque Single page with speculative art of a woolly, fire-breathing animal perched on an icy rock outcropping, with a pack of wriggly red amphibious fishimanders huddled around it for warmth, while another of the same animal blasts across the background with belly jets. The text reads:

What if…

…there really were creatures on other planets? Scientists now suspect that in our Solar System only Earth cradles life. We cannot yet rule out Mars, but so far our spacecraft have not detected anything obviously alive. Some experts still hope to find life elsewhere—perhaps under the ice of Jupiter's moon Europa, or even floating in the atmosphere of a gas-giant planet—but chances are slim. Yet we can still try to imagine how life might adapt to the environments of other worlds. Just for fun, let's go on an imaginary safari to real places faithfully described, and see some creatures that never were.

Titan
On dim, cold Titan, Saturn's giant moon, stovebellies might live—perhaps by the icy shores of an ethane lake. To avoid freezing, they keep fires burning inside their bodies. How? Stovebellies eat ice, which forms much of Titan's surface. Their fuel is made of oxygen from the ice and methane from the dense atmosphere. By squirting flame like a rocket, they can make long leaps in Titan's low gravity. Amphibious fishimanders like to crawl out of the lake and cuddle by a handy stovebelly for warmth—until their host blasts off, sending its guests flying.

I think what I like most about the Hector cover is that it spoils an almost 30-year-old Alan Moore comic while lovingly recreating its trade dress

Can someone please show this to Alan Moore and ask him if he thinks it's funny

Hugely excited to show off our Lazarus: Fallen #6 "Youngblood variant"!! Cover art by @comixbychloe.bsky.social, design by @mercuryeric.bsky.social. Featuring our Forever Carlyle alongside Vogue from Youngblood, it is truly "a Vogue cover" if you know what I mean

Lazarus: Fallen #6 "Youngblood variant" cover art by Chloe Brailsford in the style of a fashion magazine cover, depicting the purple-haired Youngblood team member Vogue in a low-cut, high-slit dress in her signature color of magenta cinched at the waist with a belt and thigh-high tight-squeezing boots, with her hands on her hips and her head defiantly thrown back, and the Lazarus Forever Carlyle in skintight black leather pants with two loose studded hip-hugging belts, a black leather jacket with a giant zipper-pull worn over a skintight sheer top, a black choker collar reading CARLYLE in metallic letters, and a little black leather cap at a rakish ankle, with her sword on her back, and she's pulling on black leather gloves. I always joke that it's the story of Peter Parker if he'd kept the Venom costume and it changed him, to put it in nerdier language, and his erstwhile friend Flash Thompson and Mary Jane Watson are the other two kids

TEXAS KID, MY BROTHER
I've read the book already and it's truly astonishing—some of the finest comic book art I've EVER seen. If you only know Igor Kordey from New X-Men with Grant Morrison, you have no idea how great he is or why he's so revered…and this is the book to find out.
Cover of TEXAS KID, MY BROTHER by Igor Kordey, featuring a B&W illustration of an old-time gunslinger blowing smoke from the barrel of a silver-plated colt, and in the foreground, color art of a hand wielding a blade to cut the paper across the Kid's throat. At the bottom is the Goats Flying Press logo.

I credited you in the alt text but in my haste to just post the image I should have been more clear!
