Federally Qualified Health Centers (or FQHCs) are the backbone of healthcare service delivery to 31 million patients and they serve all patients regardless of their ability to pay, providing a range of medical, behavioral, and supportive services. They're also under tremendous pressure.

For 60 years Head Start has provided early education, health services, and family support to our most vulnerable children.

Cutting it doesn’t save money, it costs us more in the long run in special education, health disparities, lost earnings, and criminal justice.

I cannot overstate the importance of reading books, particularly novels by respected authors, for critical thinking skills and reading comprehension. If the big gun novelists don't interest you, start small and work your way up. Or read whatever interests you. Just read. Or listen. It's all books.

Libraries are cornerstones of democracy and civic engagement, ensuring everyone has the ability to exercise their rights.

Cuts to IMLS gut civic engagement and limit an active citizenry where everyone can feel empowered to engage in creating a just society.

Cuts at DoE aren’t the only storm on the horizon for students who have needs that intersect education and health.

$880B of proposed Medicaid cuts would reduce a wide range of services that happen in schools from Autism to hearing screenings to speech therapy.

“Developing that love of books from a very early age is critical to the work we do.”

@booktrust.org.uk is doing incredible and important work!
As part of his #ReadingRights campaign, Waterstones #ChildrensLaureate @frankcottrellboyce.bsky.social visited a family hub in Southport to discover how they're using books and stories to support children's speech and language.

Medicaid cuts would widen health disparities, undermine children's developmental potential and perpetuate cycles of poverty. Congress must reject these proposals.

In 2019, the National Park Service had a budget of $4 billion but generated over $30 billion in economic activity.

Firing federal workers and cutting public programs is going to end up costing us MORE, not less.
New data from the US Treasury reveals that federal spending was $603 billion in February, which is $36 billion HIGHER than February last year under Biden.

This suggests that DOGE has done nothing to cut spending.
