The NeuroPRISM Lab 🧠 is in the news!

The article touches on the Effect Size Explorer, the Power Calculator, and my own Local CSF Correction Pipeline — a scalable preprocessing pipeline for correcting local physiological noise in the subcortex.

Excited to share that the NeuroPRISM Lab has been awarded the #NINDS Early-Career Rigor Champions Prize!

A major accomplishment for the lab, but especially reflects the leadership of our PI, Dr. Stephanie Noble!

These are the most challenging times for early-career scientists and engineers.

My team is doing its bit to help by maintaining and even expanding our database of funding opportunities for early-career researchers.

We found 437 of them.

Download it freely here: research.jhu.edu/rdt/funding-...

On another exciting note — I’m also on the job market! Always looking forward to discussing potential opportunities :) stop by my poster 1:45-3:45PM and the 6PM poster reception to chat!

Excited to share our tool for exploring fMRI effect sizes at OHBM on Friday at 11:30 in the Neuroinformatics and Data Sharing session! If you can’t catch the talk, I’ll also be at my poster on Friday and Saturday (#1822)

Spatial heterogeneity of CSF related-noise in fMRI: why it matters and what we can do about it. My work at #OHBM2025 provides evidence for taking a region-specific approach when isolating CSF artifact in the subcortex. Swing by #P1358 on Fri/Sat to discuss!

Had a great time presenting my work at #CNS2025. A huge thank you to my advisor @sneuroble.bsky.social for helping me bring this project to life. Incredibly excited to see how well received our poster was and I can't wait to share new developments at OHBM this June! #fMRI #CSF

And congrats to all the poster presenters today—great to see so all the neuroimaging methods represented at #CNS2025

Improving fMRI signal quality starts with better noise modeling.
My project at #CNS2025 shows how localized region-specific CSF correction may better isolate neural activity and increase sensitivity in the subcortex.
Come by my poster #D138 to learn more! (Mon. 8:00-10:00AM) 🧠

Curious if movie-watching can improve the reliability of FC from a certain brain region? Check out our Shiny App vanderlab.shinyapps.io/movie_stuff/ to interactively explore the results from our ROI-based comparison of the test-retest reliability of FC between movie-watching and resting-state fMRI.

Great work by @halleeshearer.bsky.social in her first first-author paper. With 🎀 shiny app 🎀 to explore how FC reliability fares ACROSS DIFFERENT movies versus rest, region-by-region. Thanks @sneuroble.bsky.social @tingsterx.bsky.social @ninetlab.bsky.social for 👍 collab.

What a blast at Brainhack NEU round 2! #brainhackglobal

Thank you everyone for making year’s event so exciting. Looking forward to continuing our relentless expansion next year… maybe a true Boston-wide Brainhack next time?

That a really interesting point. It will be interesting to see how to optimally define subject-specific PAG in that case. Should we take this direction, we’ll be sure to follow up!
